Maenam Strand

Maenam Strand

Maenam Strand has a 7km long, yellow sandy beach lined with hundreds of coconut palms which jut out over the sand until the water. Maenam Beach is located on the northern coast of Koh Samui and provides a nice view to the neighboring island of Koh Phangan. It offers plenty of vacant areas on the beach where no hotel or resort has been built yet.

About Maenam Beach

The sea at Maenam Beach is perfect for swimming in a nice relaxing and quiet surrounding. The small center of Maenam does not give you many possibilities for dining but you will find some inexpensive restaurants with delicious food though.

The sea in Meanam is mostly quiet all year round – it’s perfect for swimming and relaxing on the beach.

Walking Street:
  • Weekday: Thursday
  • Time: 5pm – 11pm
  • Area: Maenam Center

Walking Street

The walking street in Maenam is held every Thursday along the u-shaped road in the center of Maenam. Unfortunately the Walking Street in Maenam is less crowded as in Bophut’s Fisherman’s Village for example.

So if you like it a little more quiet and relaxing, with less people wondering around the food and souvenir stalls, Maenam’s walking street should be just right. Same as on the other beaches, on the day the walking street takes place, the road will be closed for traffic from 5pm.
