Bophut Beach is located on the northern coast between Maenam Beach and Bangrak Beach. It is one of Koh Samui’s oldest areas and is famous for its’ charming center called “Fisherman’s Village”. The Fisherman’s Village is basically just one very narrow street with many old wooden houses and some modern buildings between. Fishermans Village has plenty of good restaurants, some with a beautiful view to Koh Phangan.

Bophut Beach with its Fisherman’s Village has plenty international restaurants and is popular for fine dining on Koh Samui. It has many dive shops and dive centers offering scuba courses and dive trips to Koh Tao and Ang Thong Marine Park. For all who like shopping Bophut Beach offers small boutiques with unique designs for clothes and accessoires. Neat cafes as well as souvenir shops are set along the narrow road.
The Village enchants its’ visitors with a Mediterranean like atmosphere. Bophut Beach has no girlie bars or gogo bars which makes it the perfect place for families.

Walking Street – Fisherman’s Village
The walking street in Bophut is Koh Samui’s most popular and busiest Walking Street, held every Friday. This is definitely one of the things you should not miss while your holidaying on Koh Samui. Same as on the other beaches, on the day the walking street takes place, the road will be closed for traffic from 5pm.
